About the Artist

While in her native Johannesburg, Cynthia Wolchuk would often see street vendors doing metal work and think. "I can do that". But it wasn't until 2001 that she tried her hand at metal embellishing. It came about when she decided to do something different for holiday gifts. She started out with candle Tea-lights. embellishing candle filled small glass tumblers with delicate silver wire alloys and colored gems. Wolchuk went on to embellish a variety of glass, stainless steel and aluminum items such as cannisters for multi-purpose use such as for storing tea,sugar, flour, coffee and miscellaneous items. She has also produced salt and pepper shakers, wine decanters, serving sets and adorns wooden serving boards, and salad Bowls. What started as a hobby has now turned into a business called Cynsational Creations.
